Bringing the Best of PA Family Law Back to Pittsburgh

  • January 20, 2026
  • Announcements, Bailee M. Yaeger, Jessie D. Rawlings, Presentations, Robert D. Raver

If you stopped by our office this past Friday, you might have noticed it was a little quieter than usual. That’s because the entire attorney team at Raver Rawlings Law Group PLLC—Attorneys Raver, Rawlings, and Yaeger—traveled to Philadelphia for the 2026 Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Family Law Section Winter Meeting.

Held this year at The Logan in downtown Philadelphia, this annual gathering brings together the top family law attorneys, judges, and experts from across the Commonwealth.

Why It Matters for Your Case

You might wonder: Why does my lawyer need to go to a conference? Don’t they already know the law?

Family law in Pennsylvania is constantly evolving. As we discussed in our recent post, January 1, 2026, marked the start of significant updates to the Child Support Guidelines. But reading the statute is only step one.

By attending the Winter Meeting, we are:

  • Debating the “Gray Areas”: We attend Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions where we dissect how new rules are actually being applied in courtrooms from Allegheny County to Philadelphia.
  • Networking with Peers: We exchange strategies with other top attorneys. Knowing how a difficult issue is handled in another county often gives us a fresh perspective for our clients here in Pittsburgh.
  • Staying Ahead of the Curve: From custody trends to complex asset division, we want to ensure that when we walk into court for you, we are armed with the most current legal arguments available.

A Team Effort

We believe that a collaborative law firm serves its clients best. By attending as a full team, we can cover more ground, attend different breakout sessions, and come back to Pittsburgh with a shared toolkit of new strategies.

We are excited to be back in the office this week, recharged and ready to apply what we’ve learned to help your family move forward.
